October/November Fav Finds

• 1. Julie and the Phantoms (Netflix)- I was singing and dancing and having the best time. This show had me feeling good and gave me tons of heart burst moments.

• 2. Sneaky Pete (Amazon Prime)- The title of this show originally threw me off & I’m so glad I checked it out despite the title. It was co-created by Bryan Cranston and has heists, humour, and tons of heart.

• 3. My Octopus Teacher (Netflix)- This documentary shows the beautiful relationship between filmmaker Craig Forest and an octopus he met in a “South African kelp forest.” It “octo-pied” my thoughts for a long time.

• 6. The Pack (Amazon Prime)- Cuddle up with your furbabies and prepare your heart as 12 contestants travel the world while competing with their pups. Basically it’s The Amazing Race “dogs” edition & it’s also Chels approved.

• 7. Ted Lasso (Apple TV): This show has sports, laughter, vulnerability, and is heavy on optimism. It inspired me to start thinking differently when negative things happen and I will definitely be rewatching it.

• 8. The Oprah Conversation with Emmanuel Acho (Apple TV)- This must-watch episode features the brilliant Emmanuel Acho whose empowering instagram series “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man” is now a book. Oprah and him deep dive many facets of racism such as white privilege and how to be an ally.

• 9. The Queens Gambit (Netflix)- Against all odds an orphaned chess prodigy competes to become a world class chess player. As her star rises she is forced to face her demons head on.
