Once Upon a time…

I was a girl who thought she needed a boy to feel loved & worthy.

Admittedly, on my quest to feel loved, I started dating my Highschool sweetheart & did the following:

 

• Placed him on a pedestal
• Tried to rescue him, even though I drowned myself in the process
• Became so focused on his world that I lost sense of my own (hellooo co-dependence)
• Prioritized making him happy, side lining my own needs
• Had low self worth

When he was unfaithful, we broke up and I:

• Blamed myself
• Was an emotional wreck
• Thought that his new gf must be: better, smarter, prettier, etc
• Believed that I’d never find another “great guy” or one who would love me as much
• Realized that I had no idea who the heck I was
• Started to actually deal with my SH*T

Break Ups changed my life and led me closer to love than any guy ever could.

I am forever grateful to all the guys who broke my heart because  breaking up with each “him”, woke me up to the realization that I needed to make up with me.
