Why I’m Loving this Book:

When I first read the title “Me and White Supremacy,” I felt uncomfortable. The words “white supremacy” made my skin itch. Thankfully, I leaned into that discomfort and I soon discovered that feeling uncomfortable talking about white supremacy was a byproduct of my white privilege. That if I wanted to become an ally to BIPOC and help dismantle racism, that I needed to learn more about white supremacy, own how I’ve participated in it , and understand the role I play. This was a tipping point. With Layla as a teacher, I dove in.

How I discovered this Book:

I first discovered Layla F. Saad on instagram. She had started a program online as an instagram “challenge” workbook, and it went viral with hundreds of thousands of downloads. She then turned that 28 day “challenge” into this book.

How I’m reading it:

This book is a 28 day educational workbook with questions to answer and journal through over the span of a month (or at your own pace).
